Steamed Broccoli Recipe

This steamed broccoli recipe is so simple to do. Broccoli tastes great if it is not over cooked.


1 large head broccoli
3 Tablespoons butter
salt and pepper

(Serves 4)


Wash and cut the broccoli into florets, you can also peel the stems and chop them into smaller pieces or use them in a salad.

Using a skillet, just large enough to hold the florets, add 1/4 inch of water and bring to a boil.

Reduce the heat, cover with a lid, and simmer for 3 minutes.

Remove the cover and simmer until most of the liquid has evaporated, add the butter and cook 1-3 minutes longer.

Simmer only until the broccoli is cooked but still firm.

Add salt and pepper to taste.
