Spaghetti Carbonara Recipe
This easy and cheesy spaghetti carbonara recipe is a delicious classic meal.
500 grams spaghetti
3 egg yolks
1 Tablespoon heavy cream
1 Tablespoon olive oil
3 shallots, thinly sliced
2 -3 cloves garlic, minced or through a garlic press
500 grams thinly sliced bacon, cut into squares
1/2 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
1/4 cup fresh chives, chopped
Cook spaghetti according to package instructions.
In a small bowl mix together egg yolks and cream.
In a large frying pan, over medium heat, cook olive oil, bacon and garlic until bacon is crispy to your liking.
Add sliced shallots and cook for another 2 minutes to soften.
Drain pasta and place into a large pot or bowl.
Add bacon mixture and stir.
Quickly add the egg/cream mix and cheese and stir.
Serve with fresh chopped chives.
