Roast Ham Recipe

This roast ham recipe is perfect for large group and makes the best leftovers for sandwiches.

Ingredients

6-8 lbs boneless ham
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup pineapple juice
1 cup water

Directions

Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.

Prepare basting sauce

Mix together pineapple juice with the brown sugar in a small bowl.

Prepare ham

Place ham in a large roasting pan, pour water into bottom of pan.

Score the ham spaced 1-inch apart, horizontally and vertically, creating a grid pattern.

Pour half of the basting sauce over the ham, reserve the remaining half for basting later.

To cook

Bake for 1 hour.

Baste ham with remaining sauce.

Continue baking for another hour until outside is golden and inside is an internal temperature of at least 140 degrees f.

Note: Ham should cook for 15 minutes per pound.
