Fudge Brownies With Fudge Frosting Recipe

A Sweet and very delicious recipe for fudge brownies topped with fudge frosting. This is a family favorite dessert.

Ingredients

Brownies
1 1/4 cups butter
4 eggs
2 cups granulated sugar
1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
2 teaspoons vanilla
3/4 cup cocoa
3/4 cup walnuts, chopped
Frosting
4 cups confectioners sugar
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder.
1/2 cup of softened butter
1/4 cup of boiling water
1 tsp vanilla.

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 9x13 inch pan

Melt butter and add cocoa; mix. Stir in sugar and blend in the eggs, one at a time. Add vanilla. Stir in flour and nuts. Combine well, pour batter into pan and smooth top.

Bake for 30-35 minutes. Let fully cool on rack.

To make the frosting. In a large mixing bowl combine confectioners sugar with cocoa powder. Add butter, boiling water and vanilla. Beat with an electric mixer on low speed until combined. Allow to cool for 20 minutes. Pipe over cooled brownies.
