Chicken Fajitas Recipe
A classic chicken fajita recipe that is so delicious.
1 tbsp (15 mL) vegetabIe oil
1 lb (454 g) chicken breast, sliced
1 sliced onion
1 minced clove garlic
1 tsp (5 mL) chili powder
1 tbsp (15 mL) balsamic vinegar or wine vinegar
6 large flour tortillas
3 cups (750 mL) shredded lettuce
2/3 cup (150 mL) shredded Cheddar cheese
1/3 cup (75 mL) light sour cream
In large skillet, heat half of the oil over medium-high heat; cook chicken breasts, stirring often, for 5 minutes or until no longer pink inside. Transfer to plate.
Add remaining oil to pan; cook onion, garlic and chili powder for 3 minutes. Return chicken to pan. Stir in vinegar; cook for 1 minute.
Meanwhile, wrap tortillas in foil; heat in 350°F (180°C) oven for 5 minutes or until warm. Divide lettuce among tortillas; top with chicken mixture, cheese and sour cream. Roll up.
